William Branch approached the woman when she was getting her nephew out of his car seat.

According to the report, the woman believed Branch would use the stick as a weapon.

According to the report, the woman said Branch lunged at her, grabbed her keys from her waist and got into her car.

An employee at a restaurant ran to help a person who was screaming for help.

Branch did not hurt Gordon. Gordon and Branch were wrestled to the ground by other people before other people ran over them. Branch is held down by Gordon.

Branch is accused of carjacking with a weapon and battery. He doesn't know if he has an attorney who can speak for him.

Gordon told police that Branch was involved in a fight at the restaurant. About 10 minutes before the attempted carjacking, Branch reached into another woman's vehicle, unlocked the driver's door, and got into the car.

Gordon ran after Branch after the woman screamed for help.

Gordon was called a hero by the Fort Walton BeachChick-Fil-A. "Our mission is to serve and today Mykel took it further, to 'Save,'" the restaurant wrote.

Gordon had helped a customer before on Wednesday. He helped two teenage girls after a truck failed to negotiate a turn and fell onto their car.

There is a connection with God. This is a miracle in a lot of ways. The father of one of the girls told the newspaper that he knows not everyone is going to do things like that.
