According to reports, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said during a private dinner with fellow Democrats that Nancy Pelosi is in trouble.

Schumer, D-N.Y., and six other Democratic senators were spotted dining at a fancy Italian restaurant in Washington, DC, on Monday evening, and the group was talking loudly enough to be heard by other diners. Schumer was said to be confident that Democrats would keep the Senate, but that Republicans would take the House.

Chris Coons of Delaware, Mark Kelly of Arizona, Chris Van Hollen of Maryland, Tom Carper of Delaware, and John Hickenlooper of Colorado were all Democrats.

Schumer argued that Kevin McCarthy "sucked up" to former President Donald Trump. He believes that Trump will run for president again in four years' time.

There is a Republican Senate showdown in New Hampshire.

Schumer's office did not reply immediately.

There was a deal with Schumer to purify oil and gas.

One day before the dinner, it was revealed that Schumer was putting 15 million of his own campaign funds toward Senate races for fellow Democrats.

Schumer's campaign will give $5 million to the Senate Democrats' re- election arm. $10 million will be directed to campaigns.
