Pure review trips are where the journey is literally the destination. The goal is to review as many airline products as possible in a short period of time since I am trying to spend as little time away from home as possible.

On my upcoming review trip, I will be flying to the Southern Hemisphere on a combination of airlines.

Copa Airlines 737 business class

I will be flying to South America in business class to try out the two main products. The Boeing MAX 9 has a flat bed business class similar to what you would find in first class in the US.

The new Terminal 2 at Panama Airport is home to the new Copa Club. If you have points, this is a useful product to know about because it's easy to book with Star Alliancemiles.

Panama City Airport has a new Copa Club

LATAM 767 business class

I will be returning to the U.S. in LATAM's Boeing 767 businessclass. LATAM has introduced a new business class product in the last few years and it looks good. I am curious to see how the products are made.

I used Alaska Mileage Plan miles to book this, as Alaska charges just 45,000 miles one-way for business class between South America and the US. LATAM has limited redemption options since leaving the oneworld alliance.

I’m curious to experience LATAM’s new business class

Fiji Airways A350 & A330 business class

Business class award availability has recently been opened up by the airlines. I redeemed 55,000 Alaska Mileage Plan miles for a one-way business class flight from Los Angeles to New Zealand. I have flown the A330 business class before, but the new A350 class should be better.

I can’t wait to fly the Fiji Airways A350

Air New Zealand 787 business class

I will fly from New Zealand to the US on Air New Zealand's Boeing 787-9. It is rare to find Air New Zealand award space, but I was able to find a seat and book it with just 62,500 Virgin Atlantic Flying Club points. That is an amazing value given that there was a transfer bonus.

I am curious about what the experience will be like when I fly on Air New Zealand. I don't expect much from the hard product, but I hope the soft one is good.

This will be my first time on an Air New Zealand 787

I hope I can still handle this pace of travel because I am excited to get back to doing old style reviews. I will be starting this trip in the coming days and will be sharing live updates with initial impressions of each flight, and then when I return from the trip I will publish the full trip report.

If anyone has any predictions, tips, or thoughts for any of these products, I would love to hear them.
