There is a city in Connecticut. The show and website spread false information about the Sandy Hook school shooting, according to a representative for Alex Jones.

At a civil trial involving Jones' claims that the nation's deadliest school shooting was staged as a pretext to tighten gun regulations, Brittany Paz testified that she didn't agree with the false statements made.

Paz was hired by Jones' defense to testify on the company's workings. The hoax was propped up by actors pretending to be grieving parents. The "crisis actor theory" was featured in a number of videos.

The attorney for Jones objected to the idea that he meant "lie".

The people are not actors. Correct according to Paz.

Jones said the claim that the slain child's father was reading a script to shape public opinion needed to be looked into.

The families were distraught at being harassed over the lies about the supposed hoax and crisis actors, according to an email from one of the victims' fathers. AnInfowars employee said that the company was no longer involved with the claims. Paz testified that anotherInfowars employee continued to work on the theory.

The jury is tasked only with determining what Jones has to pay to eight victims' families and an FBI agent. He was ordered to turn over documents during the lawsuit, but he didn't.

Jones is expected to testify at some point, but he hasn't been to the trial yet. He said on his show that the proceeding was meant to stifle dissent. He believes that the case is part of a campaign against him and his audience.

He said that they were aware that Sandy Hook was being used to kill the first. A Texas jury ordered him to pay almost $50 million to the parents of a child killed at Sandy Hook.

The lawyer for Jones argued that the families were making overblown claims of harm.

The families said the emotional and psychological harm was long and deep. Relatives say that they were harassed on social media, that strangers videotaped them and their children, and that they were told that they were faking their deaths.

It's not nice. It's terrible. It's difficult. You can't grieve properly because you're always defending yourself and your family.

Her sister was killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. There were twenty victims.

Social media comments claimed that she was a crisis actor, that her sister wasn't shot, and that the massacre didn't happen. She testified that she found a note on her door from a stranger who said she needed to go to church.

She said that one time, a conspiracy theorist shouted, "This never happened!" at the family at a charity run.

The families argue that Jones used lies to get people to buy his stuff. After he started talking about Sandy Hook, there was a spike in the number of people viewing his websites.

According to statistics that the company used to pitch advertisers, Jones' show aired on 150 affiliates and the website got 40 million page views a month. Jones made hundreds of millions of dollars after the Sandy Hook killings, according to Paz.

The shooting was real. He testified at the Texas trial that he was sorry for what he said.

He insists that his comments were protected.

He did not apologize for questioning it. I apologized if I hurt someone's feelings.

That's right.
