• Victoria's sister testified on Tuesday about her sister's death.

  • Carlee was one of the first people to testify in the case.

  • Jones spread lies that the Sandy Hook shooting was a hoax.

Within a couple of months of her older sister Victoria dying in the December 2012 Sandy Hook shooting, Carlee Soto-Parisi learned that many people thought the massacre never actually happened.

You can't grieve properly because you are always defending yourself.

The Sandy Hook first responders and several victims' families filed a lawsuit against Alex Jones on Tuesday, accusing him of lying about the shooting.

This is the second trial that Jones has had to face from Sandy Hook relatives.

He was found liable for defamation because he didn't turn over documents. He owes his victims a lot of money. He was ordered to pay over 45 million dollars in damages in a trial in Texas, though that number will likely be capped by a Texas law.

One of the most famous images to come out of the tragedy is a picture of Soto- Parisi crying on the phone. There were 27 people killed on December 14, 2012

She said that people who shared Jones' belief that the shooting was staged over-analyzed the photo online, comparing her to women photographed at other tragic events like the Boston Bombing, claiming they were the same person.

The FBI agent shared a similar story about how Sandy Hook deniers claimed that he and David Wheeler were the same crisis actor. People were comparing a photo of him responding to the shooting with a picture of Wheeler, according to the man.

While he can take online harassment and questions over whether he was an FBI agent, he hurts for the pain it has caused Wheeler.

He has suffered enough.

The families of the victims have been harassed by other people. She said she's met people who have questioned the validity of the shooting to her face, including a friend of her military spouse.

She doesn't want to run into one of these questioners, even though she's proud of her and thinks she died a hero.

When people ask her if she's related to Victoria, she says no because she doesn't know what they'll think.

Sometimes I didn't say yes. I was unsure if you were on my side. I wondered if you thought I was an actor. I said no because I don't know what you're talking about. It was easier sometimes.

The trial is expected to take about five weeks. It's not clear when Jones will take the stand.
