The governor of Florida sent two planes full of illegal immigrants to Martha's Vineyard on Wednesday.

The migrants are deboarding the planes at Martha's Vineyard Airport in Massachusetts.

Taryn Fenske, the governor's communications director, said that the two planes with illegal immigrants that arrived in Martha's Vineyard were part of the state's relocation program.

"States like Massachusetts, New York and California will better facilitate the care of these individuals who they have invited into our country by incentivizing illegal immigration through their designation as'sanctuary states' and support for the Biden administration's open border policies," she stated.

She said the legislature appropriated $12 million to implement a program to facilitate the transport of illegal immigrants from this state.

The office of Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker said it was aware of the situation and that the arrivals were given short-term shelter.

Terry MacCormack wrote that the Baker-Polito Administration was in touch with local officials regarding the arrival of migrants. Local officials are providing short-term shelter services, and the Administration will support those efforts.

In April, Fox News Digital reported that the Florida budget had $12 million for the transportation department to remove illegal immigrants from the state.

Former President Barack Obama bought a multimillion dollar house on Martha's Vineyard in 2019.

Delaware or Martha's Vineyard was proposed as a destination for such migrants, but his office explained that they could also be sent to other "progressive" states.

Texas governor GREG was the one who ordered the use of buses to drop off migrants at the steps of the capitol.

The governor's office said at the time that it was not the responsibility of Floridians to subsidize aliens to live in the state illegally.

In November, he said he would send the migrants to Delaware on buses if he were elected.

Thousands of illegal immigrants were sent to Washington, D.C. in April by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott as the migrant crisis overwhelmed border states. Buses from Texas headed to New York and Chicago. Buses have been sent to Washington.

Vice President Kamala Harris, who was put in charge of tackling the border crisis by President Biden shortly after they assumed office in 2021, sparked a controversy this week after she twice declared the U.S. southern border is secure.
