It will only show reviews based on the type of device you are using, so judging apps in the Play Store will be a lot simpler. The change, which was announced in August 2021, arrives as the search giant prepares to launch a new product.

There is a notice in the reviews section of the Play Store that tells you that ratings are verified and that you are being shown feedback from people using the same type of device as you. People with folding phones are likely going to be interested in how an app works on a big screen, as well as someone using the upcoming Pixel Tablet, who will experience an app very differently than someone running it on a Chromebooks. While that makes sense for devices like the Z Fold or Surface Duo, with their respective 7.6 and 8.3-inch displays, it doesn't seem like the Z flip should be in the same category as the Tab S8 Ultra. The system might make things weird in edge cases.

The store is going off your device type, not the one you have. The Play Store allows you to do this on your own. You can only see reviews for your device model if you tap the three-line filter button in the ratings and reviews section.
