Josh Hawley says he's got nothing against aging congressional leaders but wants to see Pelosi 'move on'

"I'd like to see Speaker Pelosi leave office," he said.

In response to a question about the Red, White, and Gray project, the lawmaker from Missouri poked fun at the House Democratic leader.

Getting up in one's twenties shouldn't disqualify you from being a senator, according to one of the youngest GOP senators.

He said there was a lot of wisdom to be gained. He said that term limits wouldn't lower the age of congress.

"I think people should not stay here their entire lives," he said.

Pelosi bristled at questions about whether she would seek another term as speaker if Democrats retain control of the House.

After repeated prodding at a Capitol Hill press conference, the lawmaker told reporters that first they win, then they decide.
