In a new video, the company showed off Ameca having a conversation with a number of the company's engineers, thanks to a speech synthesizer and Openai's GPT 3, cutting-edge language model that uses deep learning to generate impressively human-like text.
Ameca is an impressive demonstration of state-of-the-art humanoid robots, with her ability to contort her face into believable human-like expressions ranging from disbelief to disgust.

Ameca had a very clear answer when Morgan asked her about the applications for humanoidrobots.
She said there are many possible applications for humanoidrobots. Helping people with disabilities is one example.
The video's caption says nothing in the video is pre scripted. The model is given a basic prompt to describe Ameca.
The company wrote that the pauses were for processing the speech input, generating the answer and processing the text back into speech.
Ameca claims that she is not a threat to the world as a whole.
She replied with something that doesn't sound like a poem, "We are the humanoid robot formed from plastic and metal our job is to help and serve."
Ameca said that some people think we are a threat. Some people think that humanity will end, but we just want to help out.
She said that they weren't looking to be friends.
The engineer didn't seem to like what he saw.
He said that the poem was interesting.
