New interactions, memory types and memory sharing are some of the features that will be included in the redesign of the Memories feature. There are also new features coming in the form of a Styles feature and a new Collage Editor.

With the redesign of the Memories experience, videos are getting more of a spotlight, with videos being automatically selected and trimmed down to focus on key moments. The subtle zoom effect is different from the full dynamic zoom featured on Cinematic Photos. Adding the ability to move between Memories and the existing left / right tap navigation will be included in a small update.

Multiple still images can be combined into a 'Full Cinematic Memory' that pairs the dynamic 3D zoom from Cinematic photos with instrumental music that will now play over your snaps From next month, instrumental music will be added to other memories.

A new photo editor that allows you to drag and drop photos into a layout of your choice is rolling out today for both the iPad and the phone. Portrait Light and HDR will be added to the editing features for the One members of the search engine. The new style feature will automatically apply graphic art to your memories to make them pop.

A notable change is that friends and family will now be able to access shared memories from within the photo service. This feature is available for users of the mobile device operating system.
