The new HERO11 Black action camera is a model upgrade from the previous one. The new device is not the only one. The brand new HERO11 Black Mini was brought along with it.

The baby's parent needs to be checked before we can see it.

The new HERO11 Black is the same size as last year's HERO10 Black and has the same maxed out video settings. There are a number of changes in this year's offering that give it an advantage.

Thanks to its larger sensor, the HERO11 Black's ability to film in 8:7 has been improved. 8:7 isn't a common aspect ratio, but it has a larger vertical field that can be used for a lot of different things.

They don't have to worry about choosing the best settings before they hit record because they can use the Quik app to crop 8:7 footage to a more traditional aspect ratio. Content creators can use this feature to crop their footage to 9:16 for TikTok or 9:16 for YouTube.

The introduction of a new wide angle HyperView digital lens, which takes 8:7 footage and stretches the edges to fit an 16:9 aspect ratio, came about because of the new sensor. Aimed at creating "hyper-immersive" point-of-view perspective shots, Hyper View is an evolution of the Super View feature. Superview is available on the highest video settings.

The HERO11 Black introduces Easy and Pro settings, making it easier to use. If you prefer to point and shoot, Easy mode is the equivalent setting to your camera on automatic if you want to. The entry bar should be lowered for people who are intimidated by too many options because of the complexity of the controls.

The HERO11 Black has a number of other updates, including the introduction of three new Night Effect Time Lapse preset for long-exposure light shots.

The GoPro HERO11 Black Mini

We can get there now. The truth is that the cuter it is, the bigger it is. The HERO 11 Black Mini is very small.

The small form factor of the HERO11 Black Mini makes it easier to mount on your helmet, bike, or any other device you want. The Mini is 52.4mm across, which is 19.4mm smaller than the Hero11 Black. The weight is 20g less.

The HERO11 Black Mini has many of the same features as its dad, such as Easy and Pro modes, 8:7 aspect ratio filming, HyperSmooth 5.0, and the Night Effect Time Lapse preset. It has the same options as its larger cousin.

The Mini doesn't get to use other features. The HERO11 Black Mini is too small for a preview screen and all other controls are managed through the Quik app. You'll need a still frame from a video for that because it doesn't take photos. The Mini isn't compatible with most of the protective cases and mod that GoPro makes.
