The company confirmed to CNBC that it will face a union election next month.
The warehouse is located in the town of Schodack, New York, and employees will be able to vote between October 12 and 17
A group of workers at the facility have asked for a union vote. The Amazon Labor Union is a grassroots group of current and former employees that successfully unionized one of Amazon's Staten Island warehouses.
In August, the National Labor Relations Board determined that employees had met the requirements to hold a union election. After collecting signatures from at least 30% of workers, unions are able to hold an election.
Paul Flaningan said that Amazon supports employees' right to have their voices heard, but that the company remains skeptical that there are enough valid signatures for an election.
The election will be held at the facility. The election dates haven't been finalized by the regional office yet, according to a spokesman for the National Labor Relations Board.
Will the ALU be able to duplicate its victory on Staten Island? Workers at a nearby facility refused to join the ALU.
The ALU has been involved in legal disputes with Amazon over the JFK8 vote. The results should be thrown out because of the conduct of the union and the National Labor Relations Board.
An official from the National Labor Relations Board recommended that the results should be upheld. The official has until Friday to make a recommendation.
