The Jets aren't planning a quarterback change for Week 2 despite fans chanting Mike White's name during the season opener.
According to a source, veteran Joe Flacco will start on Sunday against the ClevelandBrowns.
Jets coach Robert Saleh said Monday that he expected Flacco to start the game, but he also said that all positions were under review. According to a source, the Jets never considered benching Flacco for White, who became a fan favorite with a 405-yard passing performance last season.
The Jets didn't score a touchdown until the final minute of the game, while the Ravens didn't score until the second half. According to Next Gen Stats, he was sacked three times, hit 11 times and pressured 19 times.
A total of 37 of 59 passes was completed by Flacco. The Jets called 62 pass plays out of 78 total plays, which was out of line. George Fant was back at left tackle and Max Mitchell was back at right tackle for the former Super Bowl Most Valuable Player. The changes were made last week because of an injury to the left tackle.
Wilson is expected to be out for at least two more games. He will do some light individual drills this week, even though he is not practicing.
