The actress' mother said that she had to name drop her daughter in order to get past security and get to the table.

On Monday, Zendaya became the youngest actress to win two Emmys, and the first black woman to win an award for lead actress in a drama series.

The mother of Zendaya hugged her before the announcement of her win. Sharing a photo of them hugging, she explained how she was almost stopped from approaching her daughter's table.

She wrote that she made her way to Z before the award was given. The man who tried to stop me had a question for me. I said "I'm my daughter's mom" and continued walking. I don't name drop like that, but I have to do it.

The creator of "Euphoria" and his wife were praised by the mother of Zendaya.

She shared a story post with the "Euphoria" crew. I don't worry about her when she's working on a project.

The winner of the award was mentioned in the speech.

"Thank you to the Academy, thank you to my friends and family, some of which are here tonight," she said before laughing.

The second season of "Euphoria" was nominated for six awards, including outstanding guest actor for Colman Domingo.

The show has been renewed for two more seasons.
