London Marathon allows mass-participation runners to define as non-binary

Non-binary people will be able to register for the mass participation event at the London Marathon.

The change will be a significant step in improving the race's inclusion.

"Our commitment to making the London Marathon for everyone is demonstrated by the changes that have been made," he said.

Boston Marathon announced a similar change earlier this week.

The elite races will be divided into male and female categories.

For the first time in four years, the London Marathon will be held on a Sunday.

The ballot for the 2023 event will be open on October 1st.

More than 350,000 people applied to run in the 2022.
