According to a tracking website, Queen Elizabeth II's final flight to London has become the most tracked flight of all time.
The flight carrying the monarch's body from Edinburgh to London was watched by nearly five million people. More than 300,000 people watched the flight's path on a video website.
The flight tracking service experienced higher demand than it did when Nancy Pelosi was in Taiwan. Over one million people watched Pelosi's flight.
Flightradar 24's platform was disrupted by the surge in users viewing the queen's last flight path.
A number of traffic calming measures were put in place prior to the flight's departure, according to Flightradar 24. We expected a large influx of users, but this immediate, massive spike was beyond what we had anticipated.
Queen Elizabeth II passed away on Thursday at the age of 96. Next week is when the queen's funeral will take place.
