The FBI obtained a hard drive after getting a subpoena for video from Mar-a-Lago, according to portions of an affidavit released Tuesday.

After lawyers for Trump revealed the existence of a June grand jury subpoena that sought video footage from cameras in the vicinity of the Mar-a-Lago storage room, the Justice Department asked to show more of the affidavit.

There is no reason for the grand jury's investigation to be kept out of the public eye.

The newly visible portions of the FBI agent's affidavit show that the FBI subpoenaed records after a visit to Mar-a-Lago in which agents observed between 50 to 55 boxes of records in a storage room. The Trump Organization provided a hard drive in response to the subpoena.

The National Archives and Records Administration has been asked to determine if former President Trump still has any White House documents in his possession. Ryan Reilly is a reporter for NBC.

It is possible that someone has sought to obstruct the investigation.

After Trump left the White House, the Justice Department investigated the holding of top- secret information at Mar-a-Lago. More than 11,000 documents, including over 100 with classification markings, were recovered when FBI agents searched a home and club in August.

The Justice Department once again urged the district to lift her hold on certain aspects of the investigation. Cannon granted the Trump team's request for an independent arbiter to review the seized documents and weed out any records that may be covered by attorney-client privilege.

The department was ordered to stop its review of the records pending the completion of a report by the special master. The department urged Cannon to put her order on hold and told the judge that it would be harmed by a continued delay of its ability to scrutinize the classified documents.

The lawyers wrote that the government and the public have an interest in the timely enforcement of criminal laws, particularly those involving the protection of highly sensitive information.

The judge's order was urged to remain in place by the Trump team. His lawyers pointed out that a president has the authority to declassify information, but they did not say that Trump had actually done so.
