Quinta isn't going to let the stunt distract her from her win at the awards.

The award for outstanding writing for a comedy series was presented to the author by Will Arnett and Jimmy Kimmel.

As part of a skit, the actor dragged the host to the stage. After his show lost in the outstanding variety talk series category, two people pretended that he had passed out from drinking too much.

Online backlash from viewers who felt his stunt detracted from the historic significance of her achievement was what prompted him to stay on the floor.

There are only two black women to win in the same category. The Thanksgiving episode of "Master of None" was co-written by the two women.

As part of a skit, Jimmy Kimmel was lying on the ground in the middle of her speech. The photo was taken by Kevin Mazur.

After the ceremony had ended, Entertainment Tonight asked him about the skit.

He said that he had his eyes closed. I didn't know where I was. It was one of the strangest experiences I have had.

She didn't seem to mind. She told Variety that she had been a fan of her work on "Abbott Elementary" since before the nominations were announced.

She said that the bit didn't bother her. I might be angry at him tomorrow. I might punch him in the face because I will be on his show.
