DOJ points out that Trump's legal filings don't align with his public statements about the Mar-a-Lago records

The Justice Department pointed out a key discrepancy in former President Donald Trump's legal arguments in the wake of the FBI's Mar-a-Lago search.

The department said in a new legal filing that Trump wants to raise questions about the classification of the records. There is no evidence that any of the seized records have been de classified.

More than a dozen of the former president's aides told CNN they didn't know about the order to declassify the records.

The government has not been able to prove that the records with classified markings are still classified.
