The family of Ken Starr said that he died Tuesday at the age of 76.
The statement said that Starr died of surgery-related problems.
Starr was nominated by Ronald Reagan for a seat on the U.S. Court of Appeals. He was the dean of the school of law at the Pepperdine University.
