During the last day of Queen Elizabeth II's life, Princess Anne said she was with her.

In a touching tribute shared with Insider, Princess Anne spoke about her mother and said it was an honor to accompany her on her final journeys.

The love and respect shown by so many on these journeys has been uplifting. All of us will have unique memories. I would like to thank everyone who shares our sense of loss.

Princess Anne is grateful for the support and understanding the country has shown her older brother, King Charles III, as he steps in to fill their mother's shoes as monarch.

Princess Anne expressed her gratitude to her mother.

Queen Elizabeth II spent her summers at the residence. There isn't a cause of death.

During royal getaways, Princess Anne and the Queen would often spend time together. During the Queen's memorial ceremonies, Princess Anne was present.

Princess Anne was behind the Queen's coffin for six hours as it traveled from Balmoral Castle to Edinburgh. The princess curtsied to her mother's coffin after it arrived at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

The procession from the Palace of Holyroodhouse to St. Giles' Cathedral was led by Princess Anne and her siblings.

The royal siblings stood guard around the Queen's coffin during the funeral service. Princess Anne is the first female royal to participate in the tradition.

Princess Anne stated in a re-released interview that her mother did the right thing when she kept Princes Harry and William at Balmoral after Princess Diana's death.

The queue to see her coffin has already filled up. The public will be able to pay their respects at the hall from Wednesday to Monday.
