GoldenEye 007 is coming to Nintendo and Microsoft's consoles. GoldenEye 007 HD, a remake of the legendary Nintendo 64 title, will be released on the Nintendo Switch and Xbox in the near future.
The game has 4K resolution, smooth frame rates, and even split-screen. It will be on the Nintendo Switch Online and the Game Pass. Nintendo is adding more than one game to the Nintendo Switch Online. There is no release date for Golden Eye 007.
Licensing and rights issues complicated a deal to ever release an HD remaster for the XBOX. The original single-player campaign and local split-screen mode were included in the HD remaster. For the first time, GoldenEye 007 will be available on the Nintendo and Microsoft platforms.
The original GoldenEye 007 N64 game was the subject of many attempts to remake it. Fans have been able to remake GoldenEye 007 in various engines, only for one project to be hit by MGM in 2020. Perfect Dark was a spiritual successor to the game. A new and original game was released in 2010 and was a remake of a previous one.
