The Cowboys have fallen the most after the first week of the season. It was0:50.

7:00 AM ET

The second week of the regular season is here.

Our power rankings are all over the place after a crazy opening week. The unexpected happened in Week 1, from the Minnesota Vikings dominating the Green Bay Packers at home to the Dallas Cowboys losing their quarterback to a thumb injury.

The Buffalo Bills remained at the top despite a lot of movement. The Rams remained in the top five even though they lost to the LA Rams. Two new teams made it into the top 10.

The rookies on each team who made the biggest first impression in the first week of the season are provided by our 32 NFL Nation reporters. A lot of rookies made a difference this week, including the No. 1 overall pick, Travon Walker, and the Los Angeles Clippers seventh-round pick, Zander Horvath. Washington Commanders receiver Jahan Dotson scored two touchdown in his first game.

1. Buffalo Bills (1-0)

Preseason ranking: 1

James Cook was a freshman.

The Bills' turnover-filled start against the Rams was the reason why the second-round pick stood out. Cook played only two more snaps after the Bills recovered from their three turnovers. Over the course of the season, his playing time will likely increase due to Buffalo's talent on offense. Von Miller said he was happy that Cook got the fumbled ball out of the way. He showed us a lot of crazy stuff in practice, and he's going to have a great year.

2. Kansas City Chiefs (1-0)

Preseason ranking: 4

Isiah Pacheco was a first timer.

Pacheco scored on a 3-yard run. He had 60 of his yards in the fourth quarter as the Chiefs rested their starters. He was drafted by the Chiefs in the seventh round. Pacheco fumbled the ball but recovered it himself.

3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-0)

Preseason ranking: 2

Gluke Goedeke was a rookies who stood out.

Goedeke had a pass block win rate of 87.5% and a run block win rate of 70% against the Cowboys. It was a good first game for him. The transition from playing right tackle in college to playing inside at guard and also on the left side has been difficult. The bulk of Leonard Fournette's yards came before contact, and Goedeke was able to create some huge holes for him.

4. Los Angeles Chargers (1-0)

Preseason ranking: 8

The person who stood out was a freshman.

Horvath made his debut in a victory over the Raiders. He caught a 1-yard pass from Herbert to put the Bolts up in the second quarter. He had one carry for 2 yards and two catches for 6 yards, as well as a touchdown. A good contribution from a seventh-round pick.

5. Los Angeles Rams (0-1)

Preseason ranking: 3

Keir Thomas was a rookies who stood out.

Thomas was the only first-year player to play a non-special-teams snap. Given that the Rams' first draft pick was in the third round, and that the top pick tore an knee in a preseason game, it's not surprising that this is happening. Williams injured his ankle on his one snap on the special teams. He will be out for six to eight weeks due to an ankle injury.

6. Baltimore Ravens (1-0)

Preseason ranking: 9

Jordan Stout was a rookies who stood out.

The first punt taken in this year's draft is doing well. The Ravens won the field-position battle by placing half of their punts inside the 20-yard line. Sam Koch was the longest tenured player in franchise history, so there is a lot of pressure on Stout. But Stout proved to be the team's most consistent first-year player, outshining first-round picks Tyler Linderbaum and Kyle Hamilton.

7. Cincinnati Bengals (0-1)

Preseason ranking: 5

OLCordell Volson stood out.

Volson started at left guard and had some shaky moments. He showed why the Bengal are so confident in his ability. The pass block win rate for the North Dakota State graduate is above average. Volson will have some moments as he adjusts to the league. He won the starting job because of his work ethic and consistency.

8. Green Bay Packers (0-1)

Preseason ranking: 6

ChristianWatson stood out.

No one wanted to stand out in a bad way. Only one chance at your first big play in the NFL can you get, and that's how it works. He dropped the thing. He should have scored a 75-yard touchdown on the play. He was not targeted until the fourth quarter.

play

Ryan Clark is concerned about the Packers receiving corps.

9. Philadelphia Eagles (1-0)

Preseason ranking: 15

Jordan Davis was a rookies who stood out.

The 13th overall pick out of Georgia played 22 defensive snaps against the Lions and recorded a pair of tackles. The Eagles were gashed on the ground to the tune of 181 yards on 28 carries, but did not seem as vulnerable when Davis was on the field. He got more playing time against the Vikings.

10. Minnesota Vikings (1-0)

Preseason ranking: 23

The young man who stood out was G Ed.

One of the rookies, the right guard, played extensively from scrimmage in Week 1. According to the research, he was decent as a run-blocker. He gave up a third-down sack to Kenny Clark and a third-down pressure to Rashan Gary. In pass block win rate, he was the 29th best guard.

11. Miami Dolphins (1-0)

Preseason ranking: 19

CB Kader Kohou was the first rookies to stand out.

Kohou was the only Dolphins rookies who played more than two snaps. He earned it even though he recorded a pass breakup and forced a fumbled ball. The snap count could go up over the next few weeks with the injured player still on the shelf.

This week, everything you need.

12. San Francisco 49ers (0-1)

Preseason ranking: 7

Spencer Burford was a rookies who stood out.

The rookies did not have many good performances in the first week of the season. Through Sunday he was 15th among guards with a 96.2% pass block win rate. He was less effective in the run game but it was a good start for the fourth-round pick.

13. New Orleans Saints (1-0)

Preseason ranking: 20

Chrisolave stood out.

It's going to be overshadowed by the performances of Michael Thomas and others, but that doesn't detract from him. He caught three passes for 41 yards and had the most snaps of any Saints wide receiver. Thomas didn't really get going until the third quarter, but he was responsible for catching a key 2-point conversion and had a 20-yard reception. As the offense starts to jell, we will definitely see a lot of Olave.

14. Pittsburgh Steelers (1-0)

Preseason ranking: 22

Jaylen Warren was a freshman running back.

There weren't many opportunities for the young guys to shine on Sunday despite the fact that the Steelers have rookies on the roster who are expected to be major players. The most playing time for rookies was given to Warren. He stepped into a big role when Najee Harris went down at the end of regulation, and though he had only three carries for 7 yards, he figures to have an even bigger role against the Pats. Third-round pick defensive end DeMarvin Leal was an honorable mention.

15. Denver Broncos (0-1)

Preseason ranking: 12

Montrell Washington was a young player who stood out.

It was not a night for many in the Broncos' rookies to show off their skills, as S Delarrin Turner-Yell and DE Eyioma Uwazurike were among the game day inactives. At times, it will be bumpy. His best return in the return game was a 21-yard return, but his spirit was willing, and he made good decisions for most of the time.

16. Indianapolis Colts (0-0-1)

Preseason ranking: 14

Nick Cross was a rookies who stood out.

He played all 70 defensive snaps for the Colts and recorded four tackles in his debut. It was a bit of a surprise that Cross was the starter immediately, given the presence of a veteran safety in the Colts. Cross' speed and potential made him a starter.

17. Las Vegas Raiders (0-1)

Preseason ranking: 13

G Dylan Parham was the first rookies to stand out.

The third-round pick started at right guard for the Raiders in their season opener. Parham came back as part of four different offensive line variations after he was replaced. He took 35 offensive snaps, which was the fifth most of any Raiders O-lineman. Parham will take over for James if he isn't able to go against Arizona with a concussion.

18. Cleveland Browns (1-0)

Preseason ranking: 17

The person who stood out was a new person.

What about a kicker who made a 58-yard field goal in the final eight seconds to give Cleveland its first win in a decade? In his NFL debut, York kicked one of the biggest kicks in the history of the ClevelandBrowns, saving them from a disastrous defeat to the CarolinaPanthers. York was selected out of LSU in the fourth round, hoping that he would be a special-teams difference-maker. York has proven to be that.

19. Tennessee Titans (0-1)

Preseason ranking: 11

The person who stood out was a young man.

The season opener was the culmination of the training camp. The impact was felt immediately when he returned a punt 46 yards. The score was five plays later. Six catches for 66 yards was the leading receiver for the team. He made a 21-yard reception with 23 seconds left in the fourth quarter that set up a 47-yard field goal attempt by Randy Bullock that would have won the game. The fact that Ryan Tannehill went to the rookies in that situation shows how much trust he has in the veteran. The day wasn't great for the company. He dropped two passes in the game, one of which the Giants recovered.

20. Washington Commanders (1-0)

Preseason ranking: 21

The rookies who stood out were:

Dotson caught only three passes for 40 yards, but two of them were for touchdown, and both highlighted his skill as a receiver. He was open on a few of the other throws. The No. 16 overall draft pick caught a 7-yard touchdown pass in which he froze the corner and then cut back inside to catch a dart from the quarterback. He had to make a lunging grab in the end zone after catching the go-ahead touchdown pass. Dotson was drawn to Washington by his excellent hands and good route running.

John Keim talks about how effective Jahan Dotson can be in the future.

21. New England Patriots (0-1)

Preseason ranking: 16

The CB who stood out was a young man.

He lands here because of a lesson he learned from one of his teammates. He was in a great position to make a play on the ball, but he didn't make the tackle. Jones has the potential to be a sticky cover man, but if he wants to become a finishing player, he needs to make those types of plays.

22. Arizona Cardinals (0-1)

Preseason ranking: 18

The player who stood out was a young man.

Both Thomas and Matthew were rookies on Sunday. Matthew made a tackle on his only snap. As the next few games go on, both could see more reps.

23. Seattle Seahawks (1-0)

Preseason ranking: 24

Charles Cross and Abraham Lucas were rookies.

The rookies didn't have a great performance against Denver. Some of them didn't play, while others didn't have a good time. The young bookends of Seattle's offensive line did their part to give Geno Smith plenty of clean pockets, despite the fact that left tackle Cross and right tackle Lucas were hardly flawless in their NFL debut. This was only the third time since 1970 that an NFL team started two rookies at the same time.

24. New York Giants (1-0)

Preseason ranking: 28

The OT who stood out was a young man.

The player didn't play. Wan'Dale Robinson injured his knee. You didn't hear a lot about the pick. That's a positive thing for an offensive linemen. Neal wasn't the center of attention. He was not a complete liability, which is considered a success by rookies. Neal did a lot in the run game. The Giants dominated the second half on the ground and Neal left a positive impression.

play

Rex Ryan is a big fan of Brian Daboll.

25. Chicago Bears (1-0)

Preseason ranking: 25

The DE who stood out was a young man.

The Bears got the consistency they were hoping for from their high-ceiling fifth-round pick. In a 19-10 win over the San Francisco 49ers, Robinson had 1.5 sacks, two quarterback hits, one tackle for loss and seven total tackles. Robinson was in limited action. There were only 28 defensive snaps for the defensive end.

26. Dallas Cowboys (0-1)

Preseason ranking: 10

OTTyler Smith stood out.

In his first start, the pick was mediocre. He didn't take a single snap at left tackle in the preseason and only worked there for a few days before the game. He played with an inexperienced left guard in Matt Farniok. How long will he stay there? The Cowboys might move McGovern to left guard once Peters is up to speed.

27. Detroit Lions (0-1)

Preseason ranking: 26

Malcolm Rodriguez stood out.

Many people didn't know what to expect when the Lions drafted Rodriguez as a sixth-round pick this summer, but he earned a starting role in his NFL debut and racked up six total tackles. The Oklahoma State product has become a fan favorite after being featured on the show. Rodrigo is proving to be another top option on defense, even though he gets a lot of hype.

• QB Jackson was focused on win, not deal

• Ryan needs more from supporting cast

28. Carolina Panthers (0-1)

Preseason ranking: 29

Ikem Ekwonu was the first rookies to stand out.

The wrong reasons made Ekwonu stand out. He gave up two sacks in the second half after getting help from the tight end. The pass rush win rate for the two Cleveland teams was among the top 10 in the league. We didn't see Ekwonu's ability to dominate as a run blocker. The panthers ran for 54 yards

29. Atlanta Falcons (0-1)

Preseason ranking: 32

Drake London was a young man who stood out.

We didn't know what the Falcons were going to get out of London, who was injured in the preseason opener and didn't return to practice until last week. He showed he could slide into an NFL lineup with ease, tying for the team lead in targets and leading Atlanta with five catches for 74 yards. The first game for London was a good one because he showed a willingness to block.

30. Houston Texans (0-0-1)

Preseason ranking: 31

The CB who stood out was a young man.

Stingley allowed only two catches on five targets and ended up with a pass break up in the end zone to prevent a touchdown. According to NFL Next Gen Stats, Colts quarterback Matt Ryan completed only 40% of his passes when targeting Stingley. DJ Bien-Aime said Stingley's technique and ball skills were good.

31. Jacksonville Jaguars (0-1)

Preseason ranking: 27

LB TravonWalker stood out.

In his debut, how about three tackles, a sack, and an pick-six? He was able to stop his pass rush when he moved to his left and extended his arms to grab the ball from the other side of the field. The Jaguars scored on the next play after Walker returned his pick to the 11-yard line. Walker said after the game that he needed to make more big plays.

32. New York Jets (0-1)

Preseason ranking: 30

CB SauceGardner stood out.

He was very good in his first game. He played every defensive snap, broke up a long pass in the end zone, and allowed only two catches for 19 yards on four targets as the nearest defender, according to the Next Gen Stats. The Jets gave up three touchdown passes to Lamar Jackson, but he was not in the area on any of them. He was used on the big tight ends because of his size. He is a useful chess piece for the defense. He passed his first test easily, despite some teams going after him more than the Ravens did.
