According to local media reports, another Russian energy boss died after falling from a boat.

The body of Ivan Pechorin was washed up in the far east of Russia after a two day search.

The outlet reported that Pechorin fell off his moving boat on September 10. His death was described as an "irreparable loss" by his employer.

Under the weight of international sanctions, President Putin's project to develop the rich energy and mining resources of Russia's farthest eastern region has become a crucial objective.

Newsweek said that he was Putin's "key man" in the region.

Pechorin spoke on a panel about transportation at an economic forum.

Pechorin, who was born in 1983, is the second executive of the company to die suddenly this year.

The general director of the firm passed away in February. Newsweek said the 43-year-old died of a stroke.

State media reported that the chair of the board of directors of a top Russian oil company died after falling from a window.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine was criticized by the oil company.

The deaths of at least eight other people with connections to the energy industry have been shrouded in mystery.

They include Sergey Protosenya, who was found dead in Spain along with his wife and daughter in a suspected murder-suicide just two days before in Moscow, as well as another man suspected of a murder-suicide just two days before in Moscow.

Alexander Subbotin, a former oil executive, died of a likely heart attack at the house of a shaman in the Moscow region. He was looking for a cure for a sore head.

The shipping CEO died of a gunshot wound in his swimming pool.
