I learned quite a few things when I visited Dubai in early 2022.Rachel Dube
  • There were some things I wish I had known before I went to Dubai.

  • The winter is a great time to visit because of the amazing weather in January.

  • I would recommend hiring a guide to see as much of the city as possible.

The winter is the best time to visit because of the nice weather.

According to US News, the best time to visit the city in the winter is from November to March.

When I stayed in the city, the temperature was perfect. There was a breeze by the sea but nothing that required a jacket during the day. Since it can get a bit chilly in the evening, I advise you to bring a jacket or long-sleeve shirt.

You might not be able to do all of them.

I didn't know how large of a city it was. I think it's a good idea to try to identify your priorities before you arrive in the city.

I recommend visiting the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, as well as going on a tour of the souks and walking along the beach walk.

If you want to see the La Perle show and the fountain show at night, you should buy tickets to the mall.

There is a lot of history and culture in the city.

Don't skip the historical part of the city if you want to see the world's tallest building. Taking an abra across the river was one of the highlights of the trip.

The city's history and culture can be seen in parts of the city that are innovative and newer. I was able to appreciate how the city has changed over the years.

Abu Dhabi is a great place to go for a day trip.

I also visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.Rachel Dube

I was told by my friends that I had to take a day trip to Abu Dhabi.

The capital of the U. A is Abu Dhabi. We hired a tour guide to take us on a drive to Abu Dhabi.

There are many amazing places to visit nearby, such as beautiful sites and history.

We went to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the Qasr Al Watan, and Heritage Village.

I would love to return to see more of it.

In addition to the traditional Middle-Eastern food, there were also many other cuisines to choose from in the city.

The breakfast at my hotel was one of my favorite meals on the trip.Rachel Dube

I was worried about what I'd eat on this trip since Middle-Eastern food uses sesame a lot.

I could not think of a better place to eat food. I was able to choose from a wide range of food options.

The food could cost a lot.

The main attractions are close to Palm Jumeirah and the International Financial Centre.

My hotel in the Dubai International Financial Centre was beautifully decorated.Rachel Dube

I think it's a good idea to stay close to the attractions. I chose the Four Seasons Hotel in the International Financial Centre because it was close to restaurants and shops, and only a short drive to the Burj Khalifa.

It was easy to grab a taxi in the center of the city.

Palm Jumeirah has waterfront hotels with larger properties and private beaches that are popular with visitors. It is close to the city, but has some privacy.

I decided to hire a tour guide because it was the best decision I could make.

One of the best decisions I made was to hire tour guides in order to maximize my time in the city.

On our first day, we hired guides to take us around the city, as well as on our day trip to Abu Dhabi, the desert, and a nightlife tour. We had a lot of fun in the city.

Most of the guides were booked through the hotel by people who have visited. The guides were accompanied by a driver.

Appropriate clothing is required for mosques and other holy sites.

I wore an abaya at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.Rachel Dube

There was a dress code at the holy sites. Men should wear a shirt with sleeves that are longer than their pants. Women in mosques need to cover their hair and body with a abaya.

At many tourist sites, you can purchase an abaya and borrow ashayla. If I had known the mosques had a dress code, I would have prepared my outfit.

Don't worry about sand and heat, you can go to the desert if you want.

I'm glad I got to see the desert.Rachel Dube

Dune bashing, driving at varying speeds over sand dunes, was one of my favorite activities on the trip. It was like riding a roller coaster on the sand and we were able to see a beautiful sunset before heading back to the city.

If you go to the emirate, you should be able to see dune bashing.

Souvenirs and spices can be purchased at souks.

I think you'll find the best prices and selection at the souks or marketplaces, even though you can grab souvenirs from just about any attraction in the city.

There are a lot of open-air souks in the city, from one for gold to a market for spices. I bought spices, jewelry, and souvenirs from different souks and think they are worth a look.
