The Minnesota Timberwolves said in a statement that they were "disappointed" in guard AnthonyEdwards for anti-gay comments he made over the weekend.

The team said in a statement that they were "disappointed in the language and actions AnthonyEdwards displayed on social media." The Timberwolves apologized for the offense they have caused and are committed to being an inclusive and welcoming organization.

He apologized for the video after it had been seen.

I'm incredibly sorry for what I said, it was immature and disrespectful. There is no excuse for anyone to use that language in such a way. I was raised a lot better than that.

The NBA is looking at it.

Kevin Durant was fined $50,000 by the NBA for using "offensive and derogatory" language on social media, and a $25,000 fine was given to Nikola Jokic for a comment he made during a post game interview.
