  • Oprah talked about Prince Harry and his fiancée.

  • She hopes the funeral of Queen Elizabeth will bring peace to the family.

  • Since the death of the Queen, there has been an improvement in the relationship between the royal family and the Sussexes.

It's possible that the royal family could make peace with Prince Harry and his fiancée, according to Oprah.

The documentary "Sidney" tells the story of the late actor Sidney Poitier.

Winfrey was asked by Lahmers if there is a chance for the royal family to come together after the death of the Queen. Queen Elizabeth II passed away peacefully at the age of 96.

When all families come together for a common ceremony, the ritual of burying your dead, there's an opportunity for peacemaking, Winfrey said. Hopefully there will be that.

In March 2021, Winfrey interviewed the two princes about their decision to leave the royal family.

The duke and duchess said in the interview that members of the royal family made racist remarks about Archie, the firm ignored Markle's mental-health issues, and Charles cut the couple off financially.

The relationship between the royal family and the two men was strained by the interview. The relationship between the couple and the royal family remained the same a year after the interview.

The Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations took place in June but they were not pictured with other members of the royal family.

At the time of Queen Elizabeth's death, the pair were in the UK for charity events, but they had no official royal visits.

Winfrey's hope for a reconciliation between Harry and the rest of the royal family seems to have changed after the Queen's death.

On Thursday, after the Queen's doctors said they were concerned for her health, Harry joined his father and brother at Balmoral, as well as joining Prince William and Princess Kate at Windsor Castle for a walkabout.

Harry "honored" his father as the new king in a statement he released about the Queen's death on Monday, and King Charles III also extended his love to the Duke and duchess.

If the king gives Archie and Lilibet princely titles, that hope for peace may become a reality.
