Disney CEO Bob Chapek might have something to say about a bundle of Disney Plus and Hulu in the near future. During Disney's big fan event, D23, Chapek spoke with the LA Times. He spoke about the company for the first time and the many controversies it has faced over the last two years. Most of what he said was neutral, but then they talked about the future of the streaming giant, and he showed his cards a bit.
Disney is going to have to buy out Comcast's stake in Hulu as soon as possible. The two companies are trying to figure out what the real value of the site is. As of now, the deal is valued at $27.5 billion.
There are many questions about what will happen to the service when Disney takes full control. Is it possible that all of its content will be moved to Disney Plus? Will Disney Plus move to a different platform? Will the two remain in this strange and confusing state?
He told the Times that he would only entertain the question once Disney bought out the rest of the NBCUniversal group. There were a few solutions for the future. The European version of Disney Plus has all the Disney content along with more adult fare. The hard bundle is a way to refer tomerging the apps together into one app. The company currently has a bundle.
the consumer essentially dictates everything
The consumer basically dictates everything. It seems that the experience that consumers want is similar to the hard bundle.
It makes sense. There is a bundle that is not sustainable. I don't believe a single person would know that you get all of those things from the bundle. Disney and Hulu are trying to educate the public with a confusing ad campaign that acknowledges the confusion created by the bundle. Even if it means your kids will ask you to watch The Bear after the third screening of Encanto, an app that handles everything can't solve the problem of a bundle.
