Existing Apple Watch models in watchOS 9 are able to use the new and expanded Compass app, which Apple showed off with the introduction of the Apple Watch Ultra.

The Apple Watch Series 5 and later, as well as the Apple Watch SE, are now supported by watchOS 9.

A digital view of your current bearing and direction is displayed in the new compass app. You can see your bearing, elevation, incline, latitude, and longitude from a zoom perspective.

You can mark points of interest with the Waypoints feature on the Apple Watch Series 6 or later. You can find your way back to them with the Waypoints app, which adds a little marker to your current coordinates.

If you have a Series 6 or later, you can use a new track feature. If you get lost, watchOS 9 can help you find your way back.
