After announcing new Apple Watches, Apple has stopped selling 3 older Watch models, including the classic Series 3

There are three new versions of the Apple Watch: the mid-range Apple Watch Series 8, the budget Apple Watch SE, and the high-end Apple Watch Ultra.

Every time Apple releases a new version of their product, they stop selling older ones. Three different versions of the Apple Watch have been discontinued.

All the Apple Watch models being discontinued

The Apple Watch models have been removed from the website.

• Apple Watch Series 3, released in 2017
• Apple Watch SE (1st generation), released in 2020
• Apple Watch Series 7, released in 2021

There is no way to buy the Apple Watch models from Apple now that they are not on the website. Even though Apple isn't manufacturing them anymore, you can still buy them from Best Buy.

The new Apple Watches they just announced are the only ones that can be purchased directly from Apple.

They sell Nike and Herms watches that are just regular Series 8 models with exclusive wristbands and watch faces.

If you own a discontinued Apple Watch, you might still get updates

There's still support for the Apple Watch Series 7 and SE. They will receive new versions of watchOS for at least a few more years.

The Apple watch series 3 is the exception to this. The Series 3 is no longer sold by Apple and is no longer supported.

The Series 3 can be brought into Apple for repairs, but it cannot be updated to the new watchOS 9.
