The Justice Department pressed charges against a Texas woman accused of issuing death threats against a federal judge who is presiding over the independent review of the government documents seized at the Mar-a-Lago resort.

Federal authorities said that Gish left three threatening voicemails for a Florida judge. She told the judge, "I'm also Trump's hitman, so consider it a bullet to your head from Donald Trump himself."

"You're full of shit, and I'm going to fuck have you shot myself, I've already ordered a bomb to your house," she said in another message.

In the messages, Gish referred to herself as "Evelyn Salt" and said she was in charge of nuclear for the US government.

According to the complaint, Cannon forwarded the messages to the US marshals service after she received them.

Gish is accused of influencing a federal official by threat and interstate communications containing threats to hurt an individual.

Cannon is presiding over a high-profile case on appointing a special master to independently review the government documents the FBI seized at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort. The preferred nominees to review these records were submitted by Trump's attorneys.

11 sets of classified records were obtained after a search at Trump's Florida residence. There were 184 documents with classification markings found in the boxes. According to the affidavit, 25 records were marked as top- secret, 92 were marked as secret, and 67 were marked as confidential.

Insider did not get a response from the Justice Department. Heather Hughes did not reply to a request for comment on Monday.
