Does Jeff Bezos Know His Space Capsule Is Named After a Socialist?

The craft in question was named after a socialist when a former NASA scientist looked at it.

The former agency scientist pointed out that this morning's New Shepard mission launch was using a capsule named after HG Wells.

What's in a Name?

The 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights was influenced by the political writing of the "War of the Worlds" author. It's not clear whether Bezos, the billionaire Amazon founder who's more or less the exact opposite of a socialist, is aware of the background on Wells.

While fellow billionaire, and self-proclaimed socialist, Musk tends to name his company's capsule after something, Bezos prefers classic sci-fi authors. Verne was a socialist sympathizer.

You have to wonder if Bezos knows.
