Where are the spicy nuggets Chick-fil-A?!

While their waffles fries are the best fast food fries in the world, and their chicken sandwiches are the best in the world, the company does have a financial relationship with anti-gay groups. Some users were quick to jump on the franchise's questionable response to a black user.

The company tested the spicy chicken nuggets in the past and claimed they didn't perform well enough to be put on the menu. People have not forgotten. On September 9th, a user on the social networking site stated: "grilled spicy, but still nooo spicy nuggets."

The community will be the first to know if spicy items are added to the permanent menu.

The company was called out for the potentially racist connotations of the reply, as people asked for clarification on the remark.

Many were quick to point out that Chick-Fil-A has a tendency to reply with this language to a lot of user inquiries, with "community" referring to the actual geographical area of a town/neighborhood. The community is located in the area. The screen recordings of similar replies from Chick-Fil-A's account were posted by the person.

According to Today, the response was a poor choice of words but was not meant to be disrespectful. The company uses the term "community" to refer to places where they operate restaurants and serve the community.

I am not in the business of defending problematic corporations, but it appears that the business model of Chick-Fil-A, which brands its restaurants as a part of the local community, is now the center of an unfortunate misunderstanding playing out. I think we can all agree that the spicy nuggets are a good idea and that companies should choose the words they use wisely while interacting with customers.
