Just a few hours before the public release of Apple's new mobile operating system, Apple's parent company, Google, has released a preview of its Lock Screen app for the iPhone and iPad.
The Lock Screen widgets will be available in the "coming weeks", according to the company.
The lock screen allows users to quickly launch into the apps. The only way to start a search in the app is via text, voice, or the camera, but the only way to complete a search is via the Lock Screen.
The number of new messages in a user's inbox will be shown by thewidget. Users will be able to start a search by voice or in incognito mode with the help of the Widget. Real-time traffic updates and estimated travel times to frequently traveled places will be provided by the Google Maps widget.
There is a new feature in the Lock Screen that allows you to personalize it with a number of features. To shuffle photos on the Lock Screen, you can choose a set of photos.
There is a new Weather wallpaper with live weather conditions and an Astronomy wallpaper that gives views of the Earth, Moon, and Solar System in the Lock Screen gallery.
