What we know about Disney Treasure

Disney Wish will be the second ship in a trio of 'Triton Class' ships to join the fleet.

Disney Treasure will feature a Grand Hall that leans into a palate of deep blues, turquoise and gold and is inspired by the city ofAgrabah from Disney's Aladdin.

The next ship will feature Jasmine, Aladdin and Magic Carpet who are ready to go on an adventure.

Work resumes on Disney's second island in the Bahamas

Lighthouse Point, a private island destination by Disney, was announced in 2019. Progress on that project was halted by local and environmental concerns.

DISNEY

D'Amaro shared a new rendering of the island that will include some similar amenities to the existing Castaway Cay destination but in a way that is said to protect and preserve the natural environment.

The official website for Lighthouse Point states that the island will begin operations in the first half of the 20th century. Depending on when development resumed, the current timelines may fall a bit later than that.

Bottom line

Disney Cruise Line has not expanded its fleet in a decade. It was limited in the number of itineraries it could offer because it only had four ships. The new chapter for the cruise line has arrived with all-new ships, itineraries and destinations, which gives more chances for families to sail.
