According to Adam Schefter, T.J. Watt may have suffered a torn pec during the game against Cincinnati.

Watt will get scans on Monday to confirm the diagnosis.

As he walked off the field in the fourth quarter, the CBS cameras caught him saying he injured his chest. The team said that was the source of the problem.

Watt injured his knee in the last preseason game, but head coach Mike Tomlin said there was no long-term concern.

If the pass-rusher is healthy, theSteelers can stay in the race.

Watt was the defensive player of the year after leading the league in sacks and tackles for loss. In his first five seasons, he had four Pro Bowls and three first-team All-Pro honors.

He had at least 13 sacks in each of the last four years.

If Watt misses a significant amount of time with a pec injury, Pittsburgh's defense would take a huge hit. Until he's back on the field, Alex Highsmith will need to fill a bigger role.
