The Boston Globe reported that a group of middle school boys in North Kingstown started a "pedo database" after their teacher made fun of girls in their class.
One of the people told the Globe that adults didn't take them seriously when they tried to report the situation. The teacher commented that he had received complaints for decades without any action being taken against him.
According to the Globe, a boy noted how uncomfortable his female peers were.
They would laugh sometimes. The boy told the Globe that sometimes they sat there awkwardly. They were laughing because they were not trying to annoy him. They are just faking laughing.
The group decided to make a "pedo database" on Discord to gather evidence of his behavior after other students noticed it.
"This is the official chat that we will later use as evidence against the teacher if anything comes up in the future and we do turn out to be correct," one boy wrote in the group chat.
When classes went online due to the flu, they noted in the database when their teacher told them to stand up and dance. Everyone should be in suits tomorrow.
They tracked when the teacher made fun of the girls. He asked a girl to take off her shoes and wiggle her toes.
The boy told the Globe he felt bad for the girls, because it seemed like it was a humiliation.
