Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster in Marvel's Black Widow.

We got our first look at what appears to be the full team at the D23 presentation. It isn't what you'd call a "villainous" movie, but it does have previous villains like Ghost and Taskmaster. It's even more surprising that it's not an evil team like how the Thunderbolts are in the comics.

For a long time, one of the main criticisms against the Marvel Cinematic Universe was that it wasn't using its villains well. The bad guys were mostly generic foils to the heroes but occasionally elevated by whichever actor brought them to like. Once villains like Zemo, Michael B. Jordan's Killmonger, and Michael Keaton's Vulture entered the picture, the tide began to change.

Old villains who were defeated in the first place are reappearing within this current era of genuinely interesting villains. The return of the Mandarin, played by Tony, has been worth the wait. In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Elizabeth Olsen was one of the most fun villains in the whole enterprise, as she gave it her all and turned out to be one of the most fun villains of all time. She-Hulk has marked the return of Abomination, who has mellowed out while in prison, and now just wants to vibe.

We want you to tell us in the comments which baddies you would like to see return. Everyone is on the table regardless of whether they're dead or MIA.
