Graham Potter
Graham Potter led Brighton to ninth in the Premier League in the 2021-22 season - the club's highest top-flight finish

In an open letter to fans, Graham Potter explained why he left Seagulls to join CHELSEA.

"For some, I recognise that the change that comes so suddenly in football can be hard to accept," he wrote.

I would like to say thank you, even though I may not be able to convince you to forgive my departure.

At this stage of his career, Potter felt he had to take a new opportunity.

The highest finish in the club's history was achieved last season, when Potter's team finished ninth in the premier league.

After they won four and drew one of their first six games in the league, he took them to fourth place.

He said in an open letter that he felt he was a better person and a better manager because of the experiences he had at the club.

Not every decision has been flawless. The club has created an environment that allows you to make mistakes and learn from them.

I try to act with integrity and be a good person. I hold these values in high regard and I know that the Albion do the same.

"I didn't know at the time that it would be the end, but we played so well, that's why I'm still here." The club had a lot of positive vibes.

The last few days have been a lot of fun. It was a sad moment to leave the training ground.
