Rangers' game at home to Napoli in the group stage has been moved to Wednesday due to discussions between the club and police.

The European football's governing body decided to change the date of the game from Tuesday to Wednesday.

The severe limitations on police resources and organizational issues related to the ongoing events surrounding the national mourning for Queen Elizabeth II are to blame.

The game has been moved to a 2pm start on Wednesday.

Rangers' fans will not be allowed to attend the return leg in Naples on October 26 as a result of this announcement.

Fans have been told to respect the situation and not make travel plans.

In the first game of the group stage, Rangers were defeated by a score of 4 to 0 at Amsterdam.

The matches are expected to go on as scheduled next week.

The postponement of all the matches this weekend was a mark of respect. The Women's Super League, Women's Championship, and Women's FA Cup were all canceled.

All football in Northern Ireland and Wales was off as a result of the Scottish Football Association postponing all professional games over the weekend.

The English Football League will recommence on Tuesday with a full programme, while the National League will go ahead as scheduled.

The National Police Chief's Council said in a statement that a national policing operation had been activated and that UK policing was working closely with other organizations to make sure events are held safe and with appropriate security.

"We will work with football clubs to try and ensure that football can take place safely when balanced against the requirement to support national events and deliver day to day."

This is a unique situation and we are working together.
