Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert has become the third player in the National Football League to have a card sell for at least $1 million.
Herbert's 2020 National Treasures Platinum NFL Shield autograph card, numbered 1-of-1, was sold Saturday night for over $1 million.
The card was graded by Beckett Grading Services with an autograph grade of 10 and was consigned to Goldin by a high-rolling collector.
The 2020 Panini Prizm Black Finite Herbert card sold for more than $1 million earlier in the week. The card was graded a 9 by Beckett and sold to a trio of buyers, including Jack Elman.

Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes are the only other players in the National Football League who have had their cards sold for $1 million or more. The most ever for an NFL card was sold in July 2021.
