In the US Open women's final on Saturday, Iga Swiatek defeated Ons Jabeur to win her first title.
Swiatek's victory at the tournament that is expected to be the last of Serena Williams' career solidified her status as the top player in women's tennis.

Swiatek has a record of 55-7 with seven trophies in tour-level matches. Both of those figures are in the top spot. She is the first woman in two years to win two major titles in the same year.
Swiatek had her first match point on Saturday when she was leading 5-5 in the 2nd. Swiatek ran over to the sideline to change his rackets before the point started.
Swiatek missed a backhand and the match went to a tiebreak. Swiatek was a major champ again after taking the last three points.
She is the first African woman and the first Arab woman to reach a Grand Slam final. She was the runner up at Wimbledon in July.
