The next major game in the Assassin's Creed series has been revealed. The series will be shifted to 9th-century Baghdad, where players will take on the role of a budding assassin named Basim. Mirage takes place two decades before the game, but fans might remember that name from the game.

The game will get back to the action-adventure roots of the series, which means that the recent games won't be included. The launch of Mirage is expected to take place in the year 2023. Shohreh Aghdashloo will be playing Basim's assassination mentor in the movie.

There were a number of announcements regarding the future of the franchise.
