The beginning of the year was the top one in golf.

He went to the top of the world. He won the Masters two weeks later. He was named thePGA Tour Player of the Year on Saturday.

There was only one surprise. He received an award for his work on College GameDay. He didn't have to go to summer school for his finance degree after graduating from the McCombs School of Business.

He was on stage with the Texas golf team, which won the NCAA title this year, when they gave him a special gift. The fans started chanting his name when they saw the bronze trophy.

"That's pretty cool," he said, wiping away tears. I have nothing to say. I didn't think that would happen. It's important to me.

Once he gets going, he can do a lot.

He became the first player since 1990 to win player of the year, rookies of the year, and tour player of the year in the same season.

The award is voted on by the members of the tour. The Open champion, who won three times, and the FedEx Cup champion, who won three times, were both voted on by the public.

Even though he didn't win the rest of the season, he was never far away because he won the Masters four times. Sam Burns beat him in the playoffs. He finished in a tie for second at the U.S. Open.

He was close to finishing the season with the FedEx Cup until he was tracked down in the last round. There was a $5.75 million bonus for second place. He won a $4 million bonus for leading the FedEx Cup, as well as a $1 million bonus from the Aon Risk-Reward challenge.

His earnings in the regular season were more than 14 million dollars, giving him a total income of more than 25 million dollars.

The fact that Scottie's season was both dominant and consistent spoke volumes to the membership.

At the Players Championship, Smith shot 30 on the back nine to win his third victory.

In the last year, he won the Tour Championship and three other tournaments. He won the FedEx Cup for the third time and finished in the top 10 in all four major tournaments.

Even so, he appreciated the year he had.

He might be more deserving of this than I am. He played a great season, according to the golfer. It's hell of a player and it'shell of a competitor. It's even better than before. love his family
