A look at the upcoming Star Wars: Andor series was shown at the D23 expo. Diego Luna's character from 2016'sRogue One takes center stage in a prequel that details his life up to joining the Rebellion and eventually securing the plans for the Death Star.
Similar to other series like Obi-Wan or the upcoming Ahsoka show, Andor is being built up as a big deal because it will give us our first look at politics. The priority of the show is said to be the characters rather than the setting they are in. In order to give a better idea of what life is like for the title character, the series will move forward in time every three episodes.
The show will go on for one more season and link up to where we meet the character in the movie. It will be interesting to see what insight the show gives on the title character and his past.
Star Wars: Andor will be released by Disney on September 21.
