The Vice President's call with astronauts on the International Space Station was cut short when the station lost communication.
It seems that the veep was late for the appointment and that space was empty.
In the middle of the discussion, theISS passed out of range. It looks like Harris was late. This was supposed to start at 10:55 am but didn't start until more than 10 minutes later.
Harris was going to chair a National Space Council meeting this afternoon when he hung up the call after about four minutes.
After all, the agency's Artemis failures have piled up in an embarrassingly tall headline heap recently.
It's easy to imagine why a sitting vice president would be late. The actual crime was the banality of the conversation.
"As an American who is a space nerd, I'm so excited to be with each one of you," Harris said into the phone she used to call the astronauts.
We wondered if there were more important questions we should be asking NASA's brightest, considering all the trouble they're having with mission plans.
