Do the Eagles have a chance to make the Super Bowl? (2:36)

The Eagles could make a long playoff run, according to Rob and Adam. There is a time and a place for it.

6:00 AM ET

The Eagles are getting a lot of attention to make a deep playoff run. It's trendy if offensive linemen don't do something.

"I know that everyone expects us to win the Super Bowl in Philadelphia right now," Kelce said. It's definitely not going to happen being comfortable. I can give you that assurance.

It's just that expectations are just that. They don't have anything. We need to play there. It's the moment you're comfortable in this league that someone comes for you.

Outside of the walls, the hype train is gaining steam. The Cowboys have been the favorites to win the division since the beginning of the year. The Eagles have overtaken the Cowboys as division favorites after moving from +130 to +130 in a single day. They have a chance to make the playoffs with a 65% chance and a chance to reach the Super Bowl with a 7.5% chance.

The Eagles have solidified their roster with offseason additions like receiver A.J. Brown and defensive back James Bradberry. They are playing in a conference that isn't very strong. It is understandable that the Eagles' stock is on a bull run because of those two things. It's Fox.

Is they really a real title contender? The answers to these five questions will make a difference.

Is it possible that Hurts can improve his accuracy.

Hurts is a leader He makes things happen. He was the leader in rushing yards and rushing touchdown. In his first full year as a starter, he showed that he could take a team to the playoffs. He needs to be a better passer for Philadelphia to be in the top tier.

Hurts finished in the middle of the pack in completion percentage. He was 26th in the league on third down. Hurts' "superpower" is his ability to escape tacklers and create on the move. The offense didn't have a good rhythm. Hurts had the best time before the pass and in the pocket.

During the summer, Hurts was working with quarterbacks to improve his skills. The belief is that his familiarity with the offense will lead to him getting the ball out quicker.

He is being able to get through reads quicker, and he is more accurate with his throws, according to his coach. "Guys that are competitive, guys that are tough, and guys that love football have the ability to reach their ceiling, and I can see him growing."

Is Jonathan Gannon going to be more aggressive.

He got some head coach interviews this year, but he was too conservative in his first year as a defensive assistant.

The approach had something to do with personnel, but it was mostly about philosophy. He avoids calls that could lead to a big gainer over the top because he believes limiting plays leads to victories.

It didn't allow enough for the best players to play. The Eagles finished in the middle of the pack in a number of categories.

"I would like to see the defense take the ball away a little bit more, affect the quarterback a little bit more and be consistent," he said.

I think letting them play a little bit more, and not to say that we didn't allow them to play last year, but I told those guys, we have to problem-solve and you have to think on your feet and get me out of trouble when a call is not ideal "That's what I think our defense, the guys that we have right now have shown that through camp, and I just honestly trust the entire room a little bit better."

The safety position is one of the biggest questions on the roster. The general manager of the New Orleans Saints, Howie Roseman, alleviated a lot of the public concern by acquiring Gardner- Johnson from the New Orleans Saints.

Someone with "coverage ability, being able to play in the box, having range, playing post closed, post open, covering, tackling, communicating, being smart" is what datememe datememe datememe has.

Since graduating from the University of Florida, he hasn't played a lot of safety.

The person is not sweating it. He said he's a ball player. Football is all it is. I have been playing it since I was young. There are similarities between slot corner and safety in the plan. It's a new position on a new defense, and it takes less than two weeks to get used to.

Is it possible for Cox to get out of his own way.

It's easy to assess the strength of the Eagles' defensive line by looking at Cox's production. It might be time to change.

His last season was one of the best of his career. Since then, there has been regression for the defensive tackle. He had 3.5 sacks and 12 QB hits. Cox made it known that he didn't like how he was being used. He was released in March in order to save money, but was brought back on a one-year deal two days later.

Cox said that he was getting in his head in 2021. I want to not get in my own way this year. I have been having a good time doing it.

Along the defensive front, the Eagles have a lot going for them, including Reddick, Josh Sweat and Brandon Graham. Cox doesn't need to be a star but he needs to make sure the defense is aware of its potential.

Is the coach a good one?

It wasn't too long ago that the Eagles were a flop, and fans were ready to get rid of him. After a 44-6 trouncing of the Lions this week, the Philadelphia Eagles secured the final wild-card spot in the playoffs.

As he enters his second year as head coach, things have not changed much. He has endeared himself to Philadelphia with his sideline fire and everyman demeanor.

He learned that the bottom can drop out in a hurry. The stakes are higher this time. It will not be enough to make the playoffs by beating a bunch of mediocre teams. Significant progress is needed.

She has proved to be a good one. The locker room seems to have bought in to the fact that his players did not bail on him when the going got tough. The sample size isn't large. He will be under added pressure. Will he be able to stand with Sean McVays? Is he the one to lead the team to the top?

Soon, we'll get answers.
