Chris said that his fitness regimen for the movie was difficult.
The actor stated that the target weight was higher.
"Maybe I'm getting older, but things just started to hurt more," he said.
Chris said it was difficult to get even more ripped for the movie.
" Each time I've played the character and put the muscle on and out the size on, and then lost it for something else and played another character, there's muscle memory, and I used to say it sort of got easier each time," he stated.
"This was very difficult," he said. The target weight we aimed for was much higher than where I've been before.
The actor's body has grown larger and more muscular as a result of his appearances in the MCU.
The god of thunder has been portrayed by the actor since 2011. He reprised the role for the "Thor" sequels and the "Avengers" films, as well as voice work for the first season of "Loki".
He's going to reprise his role as Thor in a project that's yet to be announced.
He spent a year at home training and mixing up his workout routine with swimming or martial arts.
He said in the documentary that he doesn't know if he wants to get that big again.
