If you've seen the animated film or read the Hans Christian Andersen source material, you'll know that the plot description is very similar. In order to find out more about the world beyond the sea, the youngest of King Triton's daughters, and the most defiant, has to fall in love with the handsome prince. She must follow her heart, even though she can't interact with people. She made a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, which gave her a chance to experience life on land, but ultimately places her life in jeopardy.
Aside from Bailey and McCarthy, there are other people who play the roles of King Triton, Sebastian, andLuca in the movie. The film is directed by Rob Marshall and features new songs from Alan Menken and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
May 26, 2023 is when Disney's The Little Mermaid is going to be released.
