How will Derrick Henry bounce back from injury? (2:20)

Stephania Bell is not worried about Henry's recovery. The time is 3:20.

6:23 PM ET

The Buffalo Bills made a statement with a 31-10 victory over the Los Angeles Rams in the season opener for both teams.

Injuries are already affecting team depth charts in the first week of the season. The New York Jets will be without their second-year quarterback when they play the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Joe Flacco will start at quarterback.

The Philadelphia Eagles are expected to have running back Miles Sanders available for their season opener against the Detroit Lions. He said at the news conference that he's ready to leave. The lead back for the Eagles this season is expected to be Sanders, who missed time during the preseason due to a injury.

As we prepare for the Sunday game, we have more injury updates from our reporters.

Links are quick.

Drake London, WR, Atlanta Falcons

There is an injury to the knee.

London practiced all week on a limited basis. The Falcons will make a decision on Saturday, but he looked fine. As the week went on, he got better. The bigger question is how much work London gives him. He hadn't practiced since he injured his knee in the preseason opener.

MichaelRothstein is a person.

J.K. Dobbins, RB, Baltimore Ravens

There is an injury to the left knee.

Dobbins, who tore his knee in the preseason, is questionable. He looked stronger this past week and has been pushing to play. When Lamar Jackson said Dobbins would be back in a couple of weeks, there was some doubt about his availability. He won't get the full workload even if he plays. Mike Davis and Kenyan Drake will be relied on.

Ronnie Stanley, OL

There is an injury to the left ankle.

Stanley is likely to be out for a few weeks before he returns to the field. Lamar Jackson's blind side will be protected by Ja'Wuan James. James has only played left tackle in his eight years in the league.

Hensley is a person.

Christian McCaffrey, RB, Carolina Panthers

There was an injury to Shin.

Because they are more transparent when it comes to injuries, the Carolinas added Christian McCaffrey to the report on Thursday when he got a small cleat cut on his shin. It wasn't anything that kept him out of practice on Thursday or Friday.

Velus Jones Jr., WR, Chicago Bears

There is an injury to the hamstring.

Jones missed the first week of training camp with the same injury that kept him from practicing. He is doubtful for the San Francisco 49ers game, which will affect the receiver depth chart, as well as who will return punts. Jones is close to being past his recurrent injury and will be good soon, according to his coach.

Lucas Patrick, OL

There is an injury to the thumb.

The veteran offensive lineman did not snap the ball during the portion of practice open to the media this week that Eberflus did not specify where Patrick will play.

There is a person namedCourtney Cronin.

Allen Lazard, WR, Green Bay Packers

There is an injury to the ankle.

He looked good during training camp, and he was seen as the top receiver. When Rodgers got stepped on in practice, he might have to rely on someone else. His status was listed as doubtful, even though he wouldn't rule out the possibility of playing. In the three receiver sets, it had been Sammy Watkins. The door is open for a bigger workload for one of the rookies.

Rob Demovsky is a friend of mine.

Jakobi Meyers, WR, New England Patriots

There is an injury to the knee.

The team's leading receiver has been limited since the team's preseason finale against the Raiders. It would be surprising if he doesn't play in the opener. The practice squad has been put together to protect the team.

Mike is the son of Mike.

Kenneth Walker III, RB, Seattle Seahawks

There is an injury to the hernia.

Walker was listed as a non-participant in the report. It's not looking likely that Seattle's second-round pick will make it back in time for the opener because he's not practicing. If Walker isn't able to play, expect DeeJay Dallas to take his place.

The person is Brady Henderson.

Logan Thomas, TE, Washington Commanders

It was an injury to the knee.

A good sign for Thomas' availability Sunday is that he worked in the red zone in Friday's practice. Washington has taken a heavier load in practice this week, so he wants to see how his knee responds. It looks like Thomas is going to play, but he needs to feel good on Saturday. Getting Thomas back would be a big help for the Commanders, especially in the red zone.

Kamren Curl, S

There is an injury to the thumb.

Curl had surgery on his thumb. Curl had a cast on his hand but still had a pad on it. He could come back for Week 2. Washington will use multiple players in Curl's place, including a second-year player and a rookies. Jeremy Reaves is more of a free safety than a strong one.

John Keim is a person.
